The gentleman I talked to on Sunday morning said I was "chipper" to be going on week three without my dishwasher. Now he's sending me a "Senior Tech." But alas, I work for a living. Which means it won't be til my day off on Friday for the tech to visit our humble abode.
Sunday evening, we made dinner for friends who just had a baby. My folks needed Paul to work on something. And suddenly, I was making dinner for 8. Without a dishwasher. And baked potatoes it is! Luckily I had some pinto beans in the freezer. So, we had a very impromptu chili baked potatoes complete with chives and banana peppers from our garden. (At this point, I apologize for the delay in showing off how much Nora enjoys playing in the dirt.)
The remainder of the week will be spent eating leftovers. And I've decided to let Paul eat out as much as possible. After all, the more I have to clean, the less time I have to spend with my family.
Lunches
- Hummus, Cucumbers, Crackers, Fruit and Nut trail mix
- Tuesday-Lunch at the College for both of us
- Macaroni Rosa for 1
- Beans and Rice
- Rice and Veggies
Dinner
- Rice and Stir Fry
- Veggie Burgers
- Baked Potatoes, salad
- Sandwiches with cucumbers, tomato, hommus
- Cereal or PBJ on Thursday (Cause Nora's Swimming Lessons are at 6)
And lots of fruit for eating straight without utensils or dishes!

Great idea. I am planing to do a spring cleanse no dishwasher diet for some time now. Thanks for the inspiration, hope I can pull it off.
