Now that it's really cold in Florida, I feel like I can share these creative plasticware snowflakes from New York and fit right in. Especially since this morning it was about the same temp as it was in New York early December. What's up with that!
We're still eating up food from Paul's family being in town last week. The only thing I'll run out of is milk and bananas, I think. So, I will have to take a quick trip to some grocery store soon. Meanwhile, I have a list of likely dinner options that will be eaten in the expected order in which it might go bad. Also, I have a number of potential lunches lined up and will share those, too.
Lunches
- I have a small amount of rice that needs to be cooked up and removed from the pantry. I'll make that for Paul to take in his lunch with the leftover beans from last week. I'll top it with cheese, onions, corn, salsa, whatever it's lying around.
- I have some pasta I'll dish up with whatever veggies are in the freezer and some fresh spinach. The sauce will just be olive oil and herbs, not a real favorite of Paul's. That's why I get it.
- Leftover Cream of Spinach soup from Moosewood Soups and Stews.
- Tabouleh and a sample pack of crackers, fruit and milk for me.
Dinners
- Vegetarian Turkey Sandwiches with tomato, spinach, and havarti on multigrain Flat Out Bread, a new product we're reviewing.
- Spinach-and-whatever-other-veggie pizzas on Rosemary Flat Out Bread, another product we're reviewing.
- Zucchini and Sweet Potatoes
- Breakfast for dinner--Hashbrowns O'Brien with biscuits I need to make up before the cream goes bad or with pancakes I have the dry ingredients already mixed up for or maybe a serious vegetable omelette instead.
- Any fruit and vegetables that are left! Maybe some couscous salad. Will research and be creative.
