I'm pretty proud of our herb garden. I love using what we have grown and babied with our own two hands. When we were away in France and then in Seattle, we left our arugula with no one to harvest it when it was mature. The greens turned to seed, and last week we harvested the seed and immediately put it back in the the soil to reproduce. It was such a great feeling. Should something like that have been left in our refrigerator, we would have had to throw it away, but this way, we recycled what we had and are planning to have some serious mixed green salads in the coming weeks.
While visiting my parents' house, I went to get the mail yesterday, and came back with a magazine. The Adventist Review had a couple little articles about gardening and food. I went to the Urban Gardening Help recommended website and am happy to pass the ideas and encouragement on to you. I have been inspired and am excitedly thinking about what to do next. I actually do have a large empty container. I feel it's a waste just sitting around.
