This is again where the tax is added to the menu prices, but the ticket tells you how much that was.

La Potager was big on our list because I read that it had French foods like French Onion Soup that is generally made with meat broth made with vegetarian ingredients. But for some crazy reason, I ordered the curry, which was a special for the day, instead of the soup. It was beautiful. Most of the time, I really don't like curry, but this was fantastic. Paul also ordered a daily special, which as the photo shows, looked char-grilled, but it didn't taste burned. It was really wonderful. I thought my curry was best, though, and I was sorry when we switched plates (as is our custom) half way through the meal.

Brina ordered a warm goat cheese salad. The plate was huge and the open-faced, bread and cheese sandwiches were on the rims of the plate because the vegetables were taking up all the space in the center of the plate. She only got about half way through it. We should have figured out a way to take it home.

Mom and dad ordered house or side green salads expecting them to be a small plate. They were actually large, deep bowls full of a variety of good organic vegetables. By the time Dad's French onion soup topped with bread and cheese and mom's fantastic vegetable strudel arrived, they had no room for it. Not to mention, Mom's strudel came with another salad!

The service was reasonably speedy and our waiter was kind. We were able to communicate well in English even though Brina had become our French interpreter. Because the restaurant is so long and narrow (I believe I counted only 20 seats), we had to hang our coats on a rack at the entrance. Lunch was busy, but we got a seat right away. There were already people coming in to make reservations for dinner, and I overheard the restaurant was already quite booked. We felt so lucky to have the opportunity to have this experience, which was truly at the top of our list of successful meals during our vacation. I'd give anything for every last one of those recipes.
