Garrett Nudd and Fred Hardinge were both in town for the weekend for work-related activities. (I love living in Orlando! People love to come see you because their trips are often paid!) We had them both over on the same night for a spur-of-the-moment meal. I wanted to show Garrett the veggie turkey soup recipe because it was so easy, and Paul made Garrett's guacamole recipe. Fred came along for the ride and were both very amused to watch Paul take pictures of their dinner before they could eat it. Soon, they were taking pictures of each other, and I calmly stepped back as to not get caught in the "crossfire".
There was nothing cheap about the meal Paul bought the avocados for $3.00. The tortillas cost $1.55 (6 for 3 quesadillas sliced with a pizza cutter). Some had cheese, beans, and onions; some just had beans and onions. They were great for dipping in the soup. You can view the price of the soup on the post above. Tomatoes and limes for the guacamole and chips for dipping are another price addition. But it's OK. The meal was yummy, and we enjoyed the conversation. And no matter what, it was cheaper and faster than going out to a Mexican restaurant.
