It's not all about the food. In fact, this post is in no way related to food. But I was so proud of my purchase, I wanted to share it with all. And I know certain people who will say this isn't Eat Like a Rabbit worthy, but I can also expect there are a number of people who will like and appreciate the idea.
My birthday is this month, and as a result, I have received many coupons and "gift cards" from stores where I don't even have credit cards! On Sunday, I did my part to stimulate the economy by visiting our local mall to see what my coupons and gift cards could get me.
My best purchase came from Victoria's Secret who sent me a celebratory $10 gift card for any purchase. After roaming the store for 20 minutes looking for something that spoke to me, I came across the "sale rack" with 75% off signs. Some individual lotions were originally priced at $8 for 1.7 ounces. The sale price was $2. I used my $10 gift card, which covered 5 bottles of lotion and somehow removed the sales tax, too. The lotion was absolutely free!
I like to stock up on presents for birthdays, Christmas, etc. So, maybe $10 could have covered a really nice pair of lace undies to help me celebrate my day. But, the money I might have spent later on five presents for my coworkers would have far outweighed the value of one pair of pretty panties. Obviously, presents are often more than individual bottles of lotion, but purchases like this throughout the year give me quite a variety of gifts to chose from as important dates draw near.
I can pretty much guarantee you have friends and family members who require "a little something" for this occasion or for that occasion. Be open to creativity. You never know what surprise will find you.
