Carlucci's Pizza

This is one of those restaurants that appears to be a hole-in-the-wall, but is really a popular and enjoyable place to dine. Paul went there with some coworkers for lunch one day and brought me back a week later for dinner.

We had side salads with olives, tomatoes, lettuce, and onions. The house dressing was very good and the veggies were fresh. That's when you think you might could eat salads every day for the rest of your life! The salad was followed by large "slices" of spinach and tomato pizza, which actually overflowed the plate a tad. The pizza was very good. However, from a healthier point of view I questioned the dish because there was no sauce; so, I gathered butter was the the item that kept the pizza pie from being too dry. Secondly, there was a good layer of cheese on top. However, the cheese was good. I think I would feel guilty if I ate there too regularly. On the other hand, if I started with a salad, I guess I could afford to splurge a bit on the entree.
