I love this sandwich. I have no idea what real bacon tastes like, but I've served it where I volunteer and this looks and smells better. This is great for lunches or for a quick dinner.
Recipe for a Vegetarian Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich
Put just enough oil to cover bottom of a skillet and heat on medium-high. When the skillet is hot enough, cook Morningstar Farms Breakfast Strips until lightly browned and crisp. For best results, turn over regularly and dry on a paper towel as soon as it is removed from the oil. Some individuals also like to microwave the strips. I find they can quickly overcook and not taste quite as good.
Cut cheese, tomatoes and onions thinly. Also, tear large leaves of lettuce to fit on sandwich.
Toast bread and assemble by spreading mayo if desired on bottom slice of bread, lay strips of veggie-bacon along bread, breaking off excess and putting it on top. Add tomatoes, onions, and lettuce leaves. Top with other slice of toast.

We must have learned this BLT recipe from the same cook. This is exactly how I make mine, minus the cheese. For stripples--the crunchier the better!

It's great to take a regular, popular, carnivore recipe and show how simple it is to make it vegetarian. After all, many people pick the fat off their bacon because it's healthier. With Stips, you don't have to do that much work!
