Garlic Dilled Yogurt Dip Recipe with Pita Bread and Cucumbers

Garlic Dilled Yogurt Dip

This is a little something of my own. The idea came from Bosphorous, a restaurant in Winter Park, Florida. I liked the concept of the dip at the restaurant and could not find a recipe on line; so, I made one up. It must have been good because it went for a potluck and none of it came home!

Recipe for Dill Dip

I mixed around a cup of plain yogurt with two cloves minced garlic. It was a perfect amount if we would have eaten the product that night; however, the next day, it was a bit strong. But again, it couldn't have been too bad. I added two teaspoons fresh lemon juice to offset the "twang" of the plain yogurt. Then, I poured in an herb mixture with dill as the main "piece of grass" to quote Paul. The amount of dill is to taste. With so much garlic, the greener, the better. It's easy to estimate enough "grass" to cover the mountain of "snow" in the bowl. I was very pleased with the result. I feel like I can actually cook without a recipe now! Just give me an idea and let me run with it!
